Professional musician Russ Lane, inspired by a black and white McNab named Earl, has performed solo and as a member of several bands including Route 66, The Russ Lane Band, JR & Dallas, Two for the Show, Cherokee, Dan Davis Band, West Wind, Showdown, Raintree, Spellbound, and Russ Plus.

As an original member of the oldies rock band Route 66, Russ has performed at venues including:
